As you know, last week I decided to take the bull by the horns and start going to 6:15am WOD’s. And it was rough. Thankfully my body decided to acclimate and this week I have not as tired/cranky/crazy as I was last week. Heck I even woke up just before the alarm went off this morning! It’s very curious how my body has changed on a dime so that I can get up at that hour. It also makes weekends harder to sleep in.
That being said, it’s nice to be getting my morning workouts again. Remember back in the good old days when I went to 7am or 9am boot camp? My body does! I feel so much more energetic and happy throughout the day thanks to the workout. With my third Whole30 coming up, this will be a good thing to have already started, so I won’t feel like I need a coffee.
I am very much looking forward to this next Whole30. The thing I want to focus on is the mental aspect when I exit it in August. I have been doing a lot of reading on Melissa and Dallas’ site regarding the mentality of calling what you eat “cheats”. Instead of looking at it like that, I need to be viewing it as a choice. And I really need to be more strict in how I program my food and stick with it. I haven’t been pleased with this past 2 month sabbatical and I would like the next one to be a little bit better. I hope by focusing on my mind, that will help me get to a healthier place with food.
This long weekend I am going to a wedding and wearing a new dress! I look forward to having fun with my husband and dancing the night away!
