Whole 30 {60}: Lessons from First 30 Days

ABM_1398901670This Whole30 has been a totally different experience than my previous one. First–I was already making food for my meals, so I didn’t miss a beat there. What I did do was try new recipes, and they were all winners. Korean Short Ribs, Chicken Meatballs in a homemade Marinara sauce, Almond Milk, Cauliflower Dirty Rice and Curry Cabbage Stir-Fry. I am going to be making these in the future–it is so nice to have a large list of recipes at my disposal so I don’t get bored.

I also experienced more challenges, like my body turning into a battleground with my hormones figuring themselves out–which meant chocolate cravings and other “fun” symptoms. I also found I went through the stages faster, dreamt of food less and didn’t miss coffee hardly at all. I also found myself having more PR’s and my heel feeling better as the weeks went on. I hope these good things continue in May, as I move forward.

Tomorrow I will be taking pictures of me halfway and plan on doing measurements too. Results coming soon!
