Whole30: Day 27-31

ABM_1391479292Final days! They flew by, I tell you. I hit my stride and had a good weekend. I went out for dinner with my husband on Friday night to Longhorn Steakhouse and had a dry steak, a salad with balsamic vinegar/olive oil and green beans cooked dry. It was a nice meal and it didn’t make me feel wanting at the end.

I have to confess that I could have worked out Saturday and didn’t. I am having a problem getting my butt there. I like my Saturday mornings where I slowly wake up, write a blog post, plan the food I am going to make the next day and get ready to go grocery shopping. I have plenty of time in the day to do this, and I really should be going…and I am not. I am a mix of guilt and yet not. I guess part of it is that I have finally been healing physically {my Achilles is going away, my wrist is better} so I guess part of me feels like I might jinx it if I go. So I guess I need to bite the bullet this weekend and go. And then see what happens from there.

Sunday I had Eileen and Hayley over and we made the sauce for green chicken {thank you Nom Nom Paleo, I love you!}. I have had it marinating for 24 hours and plan to cook it tonight. I can’t wait! When we were processing it, it was smelling SO GOOD. Then I was a sloth for the rest of the day, thanks to the Super Bowl. But the big thing is that the way I was not thinking about my food. I am was just eating when I was hungry. I dare say this Whole30 thing is now a habit. I like having creative meals. I like trying new things {even if they don’t work out}. I am not as obsessed with certain foods and my inner voice seems quieter.

Now I am on the cusp! Tomorrow is day 31 and I reintroduce dairy! Wish me luck and not too angry a belly!
