Whole30: Day 21-26 Check-In

ABM_1391264777This week has been pretty good, I had a busy weekend, so I didn’t have as much time to prep lots of food. It worked out though, I had leftover spaghetti squash, cauli-rice and chicken. I made do and had some delicious meals. I cooked some sausage up on Sunday and stored it to put in my eggs during the week. That was tasty and I plan to do that again this week.

I am noticing for sure that I am in the home stretch–my mind wants to give in now so I am having to buckle down and say no even harder to myself. It’s exhausting. And it’s making me cranky again. It also doesn’t help that my period is coming this week, so my body is wanting all the sugar. I can’t even tell you how many times I have turned myself down but I am almost down-right annoyed with myself. I knew this stage was coming, I had read about it on the Whole30 website. But it is one thing to read about it and another to live it.

Now for some positives–my workouts are getting much much better. Like crazy better!! I am lifting more, my stamina is better, I am feeling so confident and capable during my workouts. It’s nice to have ME back! No more whining and flaking out in my WOD’s! I love it, this is who I am! Is this TIGER BLOOD? Cause I will take this feeling any day of the week.

A few shout-outs: Haley and Cheryl. Thanks for calling me a skinny bitch, you have no idea how much that compliment made my week. Kelsey, thank you for pushing me during workouts but also being so encouraging. Jill, I missed you so much while you were gone, I am thankful to have you back, I love your encouragement 🙂

All in all, even though I am craving sugar, I have had a very good week overall. Four days to go!
