Apple Cider Donuts Recipe

I have made three donut recipes now, and this one is by far the best. It is the most moist, sweet and tasty donut of the three, it basically tastes like cake!! Thank you PaleOMG for the recipe. I love you.

Ingredients:IMG_2491

  • ½ cup almond butter
  • ½ cup apple cider
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and finely shredded (I used my
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup tapioca flour
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Directions:

IMG_2489In a large bowl mix the almond butter, apple cider, apple, egg and apple cider vinegar until all ingredients are blended. It will be a creamy consistency. I will also note that your almond butter should be mixed well before adding it to the bowl. If it is too dry, the donuts won’t be as cake-moist.

In a separate, smaller bowl, sift the tapioca flour, coconut flour, coconut sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Once mingled together…

Slowly pour into the wet ingredients. Once altogether, put the mix in your donut pan, 2/3 of the way up, as it will rise. Cook for 10 minutes.

**There is a second part to this recipe, where you make an “icing” for the donuts, but I couldn’t get it to work.**
