YES!

ex crossfit northThis past week has been pretty great when it comes to making gains at my workouts. And it feels damn good!!!!!

  1. I ran over a mile without stopping! I put on my headset after being upset that I couldn’t do CrossFit Monday as planned. So I put on my music and ran until I felt like stopping, no agenda. Well if I didn’t run for 20 minutes, not stopping. Right on bitches!!
  2. I did a new girl WOD this week–Elizabeth. It is 21 – 15 – 9 of cleans and ring dips (or box dips for me). The RX weight for women is 95 pounds, and I decided to do 55 pounds, since I have never done this Girl WOD before. Well I busted out this WOD in 5 minutes and 48 seconds, which is pretty great. So next time I am going to go up to 65 pounds and see what happens. Heck the day I can do it RX soon might be here.
  3. Tonight I did a 2000 meter row. I remember the first time I did it well. I remember the burning of my thighs and my lungs. How I crawled off the rowing machine. It wasn’t pretty. That night I did it in 11 minutes and 17 seconds. Tonight I did it in 10 minutes 40 seconds. This change in time (37 seconds!) in a month feels pretty great. I am in a new time bracket and everything!

I don’t know what has brought about these changes but most probably consistency, going full-paleo and believing in myself. It’s amazing how believing in yourself can make all the difference.

I also might have done a celebratory dance in my car tonight. I love this feeling!
