Frozen Chocolate Banana Recipe

Tried this recipe as a snack to bring to a Crossfit Games party last weekend. They were so popular they were gone in ten minutes. I found a recipe online but then I decided to make it my own. Cause I’m like that, you know!! Now let’s clarify, this isn’t the healthiest recipe you will ever have but it sure keeps you away from eating things chock full of high fructose corn syrup and is not intended for you to go to town on. Control yourselves people!! I know it might be hard!

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon (or so) of coconut butter

2 tsp of raw honey

2 tbsp of peanut butter

1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips

A few banana’s, sliced into pieces

Combine all the ingredients but the bananas into a small pot and melt together over a low heat. I had my burner on 4 and it still felt high. The reason? If you melt chocolate over too high a heat it burns wicked fast, which is why a lot of recipes tell you to melt chocolate over a double burner. Anyhoo, you melt the chocolate. Then you take the banana pieces and you dip them into the chocolate and put them on a tray that will go in the freezer. Once they are all dipped and looking tasty, you put them in the freezer to set. You’re welcome!

IMG_2258The reason why this has a hole in the top is because I use a Popsicle stick to dip it in the chocolate.
