I think it was possibly only a matter of time, but my success at working out, losing inches and sizes (I am this close to a size 16!!!) has made some women at my gym take notice. I appreciate the hugs from my trainer Frances, she is awesome! And today I had a woman ask me what I was doing to get my results, who had noticed how much I had changed. I told her it was small things–I cut back on my sugar intake, I changed from white to brown rice and I had cut way back on eating potatoes. I told her that the small changes made big differences.
I love the fact that people are turning to me for advice!! It’s great, surprising and I don’t mind helping! In fact, I like to, because I struggled for so long (heck, I still do!) that I want to help other people find the right path for them. There is no secret formula, everyone has a different struggle and their struggles change over time. All I can offer are the things that have worked for me, like how I got myself to workout and how I slowly have changed my diet. I am by no means perfect, but I am excited and happy to share what I have done to help others! And I hope more people feel comfortable coming to me and asking for food or exercise advice.
