Planning Ahead

This is Robert’s birthday weekend, and his big request for eating out has been to go to Maggiano’s, an Italian restaurant that has literally no item its menu that are under 15 points. Instead of beating myself up for this scenario, I have decided to embrace it. I am going to eat a meal that is made from butter and cream and I might as well embrace it and enjoy it.

I also know I have the ability to feel guilty and upset about these kinds of moments, so I will simply eat a nice healthy breakfast (eggs w veggies) and I will skip the Starbucks. I have worked out hard this week and am going to workout in half an hour to at least burn some calories before today’s meal. And hopefully this will help keep my personal demons at bay.

Now, as for what I am going to have, I was thinking the spinach-filled ravioli with a red sauce. And end the meal with a cappuccino. Since we will be eating at 2pm, this will mean I can have a light dinner, and then not go to over my points for the day.

  1. MMm that looks delicious, and good on you for planning ahead to try and reduce your guilt. Get right back to counting points and stay the course! 🙂

    • I will count everything I eat today and just make other smart choices. The workout I had this morning was nice and sweaty 🙂 So guilt isn’t too strong!!!
