New Hair

I am back in Canada for a visit, and one of my necessary things to do, is to visit my hair dresser. No one in Houston can get my hair colour right and I have a great relationship with my hair dresser. She “gets” me. This visit I wanted to deviate from the norm and not go for the bob. I have decided to lightly grow out my hair so I can pull it in a pony tail when I workout or when I feel low maintenance. I also wanted to do this because, as my face thins out, longer hair looks better, and quite frankly I haven’t looked good with longer hair for well over 15 years. I have had the same hair style since being a senior in high school. So we will see!!! I still love the way I look when I have a bob, and I might very well go back to it.

I haven’t written much lately because I almost feel boring! I continue to workout 4-5 times a week at boot camp and I haven’t really been losing any weight. I feel like I am in a holding pattern or something.  Hah, and now that I have had a weekend of fun with my friends and family, I am sure to have gained a little! But I worked out every day of my visit but one, and that is something to be proud of. I even tried a new class on Friday–Body Step. And what I learned from that is: 1. I am not coordinated, so trying to learn the steps was at times a bit confusing but I did mostly ok! 2. I could have done more. I did the class with one riser, did the little extra jumps when I could, got a good workout, but I didn’t feel the way I do after a boot camp, I had stuff still left in me. 3. I missed incorporating weights with my cardio, I felt like something was missing from my workout. All in all, I am really looking forward to getting back to my boot camp and getting beaten into the ground by Frances on Wednesday 🙂
